Experience a breathtaking sunrise atop the majestic Summit of Pikes Peak - America's Mountain! In celebration of Indigenous Peoples' Day (Oct. 13), there will be a special sunrise blessing by Tribal Nation Elders.
The Gateway will open early at 5:30 a.m., with last entry for the special event at 6:30 a.m.

North Slope Recreation Area will not be accessible during this event.
New This Year For those looking to enjoy the Summit views without the drive, shuttle services for our sunrise openings are now available! Departing from The North Pole-Santa's Workshop parking lot (located .3 miles before the Pikes Peak entrance), the shuttle will take passengers straight to the top to catch the break of day! This unique event is only held a few times each year — a rare opportunity you won’t want to miss.
