May’s passenger traffic at Colorado Springs Airport (COS) indicates a strong summer after the lower-than-average numbers reported in recent months, with a total 220,982 passengers—a 1.9 percent increase from May 2024. The Airport remains committed to COS’ long-term growth through its ongoing efforts to promote and attract air service. Seat availability has increased by 5.7 percent year-over-year, setting the stage for a robust 2025 as travel demand is expected to rise through the summer. The average load factor for the month stood at 85.6 percent, a 2.3% decrease from May 2024.
