1. On 01/07/2022, Title II ADA / Section 504 Coordinator(s) from the Office of Accessibility performed a Title II - Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Self-Evaluation. This evaluation was performed in accordance with 1991/2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design.
2. Priorities for removing barriers are assigned in accordance with the ADA Checklist for Existing Facilities, promulgated by the ADA National Network. The checklist follows the four priorities listed in the Department of Justice ADA Title III regulations. These priorities are equally applicable to state and local government facilities:
Priority 1 - Accessible approach and entrance
Priority 2 - Access to goods and services
Priority 3 - Access to public toilet rooms
Priority 4 - Access to other items such as water fountains and public telephones
3. Corrective actions to findings were / will be submitted to the City maintenance work request system and will be managed in accordance with the City Transition Plan. Note: Recommended corrections may be modified where appropriate. Corrections are developed in consideration of the “Program Access” provisions of Title II, where applicable.

Spout outlets of drinking fountains for standing persons shall be 38 inches minimum and 43 inches maximum above the finish floor or ground. The spout shall be located 15 inches minimum from the vertical support and 5 inches maximum from the front edge of the unit, including bumpers. The spout shall provide a flow of water 4 inches high minimum and shall be located 5 inches maximum from the front of the unit. The angle of the water stream shall be measured horizontally relative to the front face of the unit. Where spouts are located less than 3 inches of the front of the unit, the angle of the water stream shall be 30 degrees maximum. Where spouts are located between 3 inches and 5 inches maximum from the front of the unit, the angle of the water stream shall be 15 degrees maximum. Operable parts shall comply with applicable standards.

If public restrooms are desired, It is recommended that the portable unit be replaced with a permanent built in compliant restroom. The utilization of an accessible portable unit may be a temporary solution and is not recommended as a permanent solution.
Each toilet room and bathing room shall be accessible. Where a floor level is not required to be connected by an accessible route, the only toilet rooms or bathing rooms provided within the facility shall not be located on the inaccessible floor. Except as provided for in Sections 1109.2.2 and 1109.2.3, at least one of each type of fixture, element, control or dispenser in each accessible toilet room and bathing room shall be accessible.

Women's Restroom

Wall signs identifying permanent rooms and spaces of a building shall be a horizontal format and the characters raised 1/32 inch minimum and shall be sans serif uppercase characters a minimum of 5/8 inch and a maximum of 2 inches high. Contracted Grade 2 Braille shall be in a horizontal format and shall be placed a minimum of 3/8 inch and a maximum of 1/2 inch directly below the tactile characters; flush left or centered. Signs with raised characters or Braille shall be located 48 inches minimum above the finish floor or ground surface, measured from the baseline of the lowest tactile character and 60 inches maximum above the finish floor or ground surface, measured from the baseline of the highest tactile character.
Interior and exterior signs identifying permanent rooms and spaces shall comply with 703.1, 703.2, and 703.5. Where pictograms are provided as designations of permanent interior rooms and spaces, the pictograms shall comply with 703.6 and shall have text descriptors complying with 703.2 and 703.5.
