Garden of the Gods Directional Signage and Mural

The Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services Department, in collaboration with the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center, is providing improved directional signage and integrated murals that will help visitors and park users find their way to and from Garden of the Gods Park and the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center. The signage/murals will be located on the east west entrances to the pedestrian underpass beneath 30th street in Garden of the Gods Park. The murals were created by local artist Douglas Rouse, and the design and installation will be funded by the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center.

The Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center is owned and operated by the Garden of the Gods Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Proceeds from the Visitor and Nature Center retail, food service, and program activities support a wide array of capital projects, planning efforts, research, and maintenance activities in Garden of the Gods Park. 2025 marks the 30th anniversary of the collaboration between the City of Colorado Springs and the Garden of the Gods Foundation. To date, the Visitor and Nature Center and the Foundation have generated $6.8 million to support Garden of the Gods Park.
