You are invited!

Colorado Springs residents are invited to the 2025 Report Out Community Tour with Mayor Yemi and City Council!

Join us to learn about the progress our City has made in Mayor Yemi’s first two years in office. Share your ideas to help shape the future of Colorado Springs and provide input on important issues facing Colorado Springs.

The Community Tour will take place in May and June and will include a stop in each of the City’s six City Council districts, plus one telephone town hall option. It will be an opportunity for Mayor Yemi and Colorado Springs City Council to hear concerns and ideas from the community.

Each session will feature live audience polling via audience members’ cell phones as well as facilitated collaborative discussions with City department leaders on the City’s five strategic priority areas - public safety, infrastructure, housing solutions, economic vitality, and community activation.

Though each listening session is open to the public, residents are encouraged to register in advance to help ensure adequate space is provided, as well as to register for the listening session located in their City Council district.

The RSVP form is to help us plan for seating, staffing, and logistics. RSVPs are not required to attend. We thank you for your interest in the listening tours.

About the City's Strategic Priorities

The 2024-2028 Citywide Strategic Plan serves as the long-term vision for the future direction of the City. The foundation of the Strategic Plan is rooted in well-defined goals, strategic objectives and priorities, and measurable outcomes. It establishes organizational performance data and a continuous engagement loop with the community and City employees to inform City budgetary and policy decision making.

This plan is the result of countless hours of community engagement, thoughtful discussion, and collaborative effort. It reflects the voices and aspirations of our diverse neighborhoods, our vibrant business community, and our passionate residents.

Under the Strategic Plan, the City will create an annual short-term Strategic Doing Action Plan. The purpose of the Strategic Doing Action Plan is to intentionally move forward the visionary community ideas outlined in the 5-year Strategic Plan, into yearly action-oriented collaborations that result in measurable outcomes.

Doingis a framework that turns the strategy into action. It empowers the City to swiftly establish action-oriented teams, help steer them toward measurable results, and adapt in real time to internal and external changes.
