The 2026 Park System Master Plan will guide the development and sustainability of PRCS assets including City parks, trail systems, open space and natural areas, community centers, recreation and cultural services programming, and City enterprises including the Pikes Peak Highway, Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum, golf courses, and cemeteries. Through data collection and community input on recreation trends and user engagement as well as an operational assessment, the updated master plan will provide a framework for taking care of the park system while addressing the diverse desires of the Colorado Springs community for the next 10-15 years.
