The following City of Colorado Springs administrative offices and agencies will be closed Friday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day: 

  • City Administration Building
  • City Clerk 
  • City Hall 
  • Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum 
  • Deerfield Hills, Hillside, Meadows Park, and Westside community centers
  • Gold Camp Road to North Cheyenne Cañon (closed all day)
  • Mountain Metropolitan Transit (Administrative offices) 
  • Municipal Court
  • Palmer Park Roads (closed all day)
  • Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Administrative Building
  • Sales Tax Office
  • Sertich Ice Center
  • Sports Office and Therapeutic Recreation Programs 

The following City facilities are open, adjusted hours, if applicable are noted:  

  • City fountains, pools and spray grounds
  • Garden of the Gods Park (Park closes at 8 p.m.)
  • Patty Jewett Golf Course
  • Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain (weather permitting)
  • Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site 
  • Starsmore Visitor and Nature Center
  • Valley Hi Golf Course 

Family Fourth at Rock Ledge Ranch 

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site will host a variety of activities, including live music, reenactments from notable historical figures, carnival games, wagon rides, a patriotic kids’ parade with prizes for best decorations, and more. Food and beverages available for purchase.

The Rock Ledge Ranch historic homes will be open for tours during the event and admission is $8 for adults, $5 for seniors (65+), and $4 for children (3-17). Children ages 2 and under are free. Star-Spangled Symphony and Fourth of July Fireworks 

Celebrate the 4th of July across the City thanks to the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation and the Colorado Springs Philharmonic, showcasing the Philharmonic’s music and fireworks show. Tickets to see The Philharmonic at Ford Amphitheater are sold out. If you have a ticket, be sure to visit FordAmphitheatre.live for “Know Before You Go” details, including entry guidelines and concert tips. 

For those unable to attend the concert, the performance will be broadcast on local radio stations (Sunny 106.3 FM - Y96.9 - KCME 88.7 FM) at roughly 9:15 PM (weather dependent) in conjunction with the fireworks show across the city.
