On September 28, 2025, at approximately 11:35 PM, the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) received a call for service regarding a possible head-on traffic crash around the MLK bypass and Circle Drive. Responding officers located two involved vehicles just east of Circle Drive on the MLK overpass. One involved driver, an adult male, was deceased on scene. The second involved male driver was transported to a local hospital in serious but stable condition.
