Mayor Yemi Mobolade today released the following statement in response to Sunday’s Pearl Street Mall attack in Boulder, Colorado.

“I am heartbroken by the horrific attack and violence that struck in the city of Boulder on Sunday. Our hearts, minds, and prayers are with the victims and their families. I was in touch with my friend and colleague Boulder Mayor Brockett last night and shared our community's support for the victims, their families and their entire city during this difficult time.”

“There is no place for hate or antisemitism in our communities, and I am grateful to law enforcement and first responders for their swift action and continued investigation. The FBI is the lead investigative agency and has identified that the suspect was living in an El Paso County enclave near Colorado Springs. I am committed to supporting our local and federal partners as this investigation moves forward.”
