Detour map of the closure of Dublin Blvd. between Black Forest Road/Shimmering Creek Drive and Peterson Road. Dublin Blvd. is is open to local access only after Tutt Blvd. The detour route takes Tutt Blvd. south to Stetson Hills Blvd. east and then Peterson Road north.

The Dublin Boulevard Improvements project starts next week, necessitating a road closure on Dublin from Black Forest Road/Shimmering Creek Drive to Peterson Road for two consecutive nights, Tuesday, April 22 (8 p.m.-5:30 a.m.) and Wednesday, April 23 (7 p.m.-5:30 a.m.).

These safety closures are necessary while crews move travel lanes into a new temporary alignment and set concrete barriers.

The signed detour route will direct through traffic on Dublin Boulevard to use Tutt Boulevard, Stetson Hills Boulevard and Peterson Road to bypass the work area. Local access will be provided between Tutt Boulevard and Black Forest Road/Shimmering Creek Drive.

Once traffic moves to the new alignment on the road’s south side, crews will begin working near Sand Creek. All movements will still be possible at the Dublin Boulevard/Peterson Road intersection.

The Dublin Boulevard Improvements project zone is from Fieler Drive to Marksheffel Road. Dublin Boulevard will be improved from a two-lane road to two lanes in each direction with shoulders. A raised median will be constructed to match other sections of Dublin Boulevard. Additional improvements include a ten-foot multi-use path along both sides of the street, trail connections along Sand Creek, and a new traffic signal at Issaquah Drive. Drainage upgrades include storm sewer pipes, inlets, and water quality structures. Project completion is expected in late 2026.

Construction is weather-dependent, and the schedule may change. For the most up to date information on road closures and traffic pattern changes, text DUBLIN to 866-762-3640 to receive text alerts. Message boards on the corridor and the project hotline (719-472-3065) will reflect the latest schedule information.
