Starting Sunday, June 1, all Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT) bus and Metro Mobility rides will be free through August 31, 2025. This will be MMT's fourth consecutive year participating in the Zero Fare Transit Grant program.  The free fares are made possible through the Ozone Season Transit Grant Program which allows transit agencies across Colorado to offer zero fares during the summer months, when ozone levels are often at their highest.

"This is the fourth year for our summer zero fare program," said Lan Rao, Transit Division Manager. “Over the first three summers we have given over 2 million rides to people in the Pikes Peak Region and we are looking forward to doing it again this summer.”

MMT will also host a “Ride Free for the Summer 2025” party at the Downtown Terminal on the corner of Kiowa St. and Nevada Ave. on Tuesday, June 3, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come join us for fun and prizes.

June 2, 2025 edit:

Free rides on all Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT) buses and Metro Mobility vehicles started on Sunday, June 1.  However, the “Ride Free for the Summer 2025” party at the Downtown Terminal originally planned on June 3, will be postponed to a future date due to the predicted weather.
