The City Council is calling upon passionate individuals to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our vibrant city. We are seeking dedicated volunteers to serve on various Boards, Commissions, and Committees essential to our community's growth and development.
Opportunities to Volunteer
Planning Commission
- Meeting Times – Two regular monthly meetings: an informal session on the first Thursday and a formal session on the second Wednesday, both at 9 a.m.
- Vacancy – One (1) Voting Member and Alternative Member(s)
The Planning Commission reviews land development applications including annexations, zoning changes, and conditional use permits. The commission also advises on long-term city planning efforts, such as the city’s comprehensive plan, community plans, and land development code.
Stormwater Advisory Committee
Provides citizen input to City Council on the stormwater system and enterprise operations. The Committee also advises and makes recommendations on projects to be undertaken
- Meeting Time – Quarterly, every third Thursday of the month at 2 p.m.
- Vacancy – One (1) Resident and One (1) Nonprofit representative
