The Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum (CSPM) will host the Conejos Neighborhood Reunion on Saturday, Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free, family-friendly event will feature food trucks, crafts, a car show, live music from Mariachi Lobos, and performances by Ballet Folklórico de la Raza.
“Five years ago, the CSPM opened the exhibit entitled Una Familia Grande: The Conejos Neighborhood Project to reflect the former Conejos residents’ deeply held bonds to their families, faith, culture, neighborhood and the City of Colorado Springs,” said Leah Davis Witherow, CSPM curator of history. “Through their artifacts, photographs and stories, we put this once vibrant neighborhood back on the map and highlight their importance in our community’s history. We are honored to host and celebrate these neighbors once again.”
This event is free and open to the public. RSVPs are recommended. To learn more, visit Conejos Neighborhood Reunion - CSPM.
