7th and Cucharras Intersection Improvements

The intersection of S. 7^th Street and W. Cucharras Street closes for four weeks beginning Aug. 14 for construction of a roundabout at the intersection.

Local driveways will remain accessible during this closure. Through-traffic will be detoured via Colorado Avenue and S. 8^th Street.

The roundabout will improve safety and neighborhood traffic flow. In 2022, the City of Colorado Springs Traffic Engineering department engaged the neighborhood about ongoing traffic concerns, and determined a roundabout would be the best tool to manage traffic concerns at the intersection.
