About

North Cheyenne Cañon (NCC) is a treasured regional park enjoyed by hikers, bikers, and wildlife alike. Two visitor centers located in the park offer interactive exhibits, scheduled hikes, educational programming, and special events for guests.

Your Impact

You will have the opportunity to discover your inner naturalist by interpreting various aspects of the park to enrich the visitors' experience. Volunteers not only enhance the center’s operations but also educate and inspire visitors to be better environmental stewards.

Volunteer Opportunities

NCC offers adults and teens the opportunity to give back to the community, accrue high school credits, gain experience and support parks by providing visitor services and park programs. Volunteers engage in trail roving, assist in interpretive and educational programs, provide visitor center information, and help at special events.

For teens ages 13 – 17, North Cheyenne Cañon’s Teen Volunteer Program is designed to build leadership skills, customer service, and communication skills. The program runs during the summer season with volunteers assigned to 4-hour shifts, once a week.
