About

Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain (PPAM) is the majestic landmark that cannot be missed as it rises over 14,000 feet into the sky. Annually, the mountain attracts over 20 million visitors. At the top, the Pikes Peak Visitor Center offers engaging interpretive exhibits that share the history of the mountain, a gift shop, as well as dining areas.

Your Impact

Volunteers enhance the visitor experience at the Summit Visitors Center by engaging and educating guests about local resources, history, and partners. As the friendly face of PPAM, you can meet folks from every corner of the globe and teach them about our own little corner.

Volunteer Opportunities

A unique opportunity to volunteer at the top of a mountain! PPAM volunteers spend most of their time at the Summit Visitor Center where they field guest queries, enhance guest experience, and participate in special events. Volunteers commit to one shift per week May-August as a summit docent and special events are available throughout the year.
