Ballots for the 2025 General Municipal Election will be mailed to registered voters in Colorado Springs on Friday, March 7. All ballots must be returned by 7 p.m. on election day, April 1, 2025. Elected positions on the ballot will include the six district City Council seats. Each voters’ ballot will contain only the District City Council race for their area of town based on the current City Council District Boundary lines.
“City Councilmembers play a very important role in key decisions which directly impact residents,” said City Clerk Sarah Johnson, “Unfortunately, in the past, we have seen less than a third of registered voters return their ballots. It only takes a quick minute at one of 28 secure drop-off locations across the city.”
For the first time, the City is providing residents with a new tool allowing them to virtually track the status of their ballot. By providing their full name, birthdate and zip code, residents can see if their ballot has been mailed or if their vote has been received. Residents can register and vote up to election day. The ballot tracker, ballot drop-off locations and additional information can be found at ColoradoSprings.gov/VoterInfo.
Once the City starts receiving ballots, voter turnout by city council district and by individual voting precinct will be posted on an interactive map at ColoradoSprings.gov/Election.
