Starting on Tuesday, Dec. 2, Issaquah Drive south of Dublin Boulevard will close for construction and traffic signal installation. The work is part of the larger Dublin Boulevard Improvements project.
Issaquah Drive north of Dublin Boulevard is nearing completion and should reopen on Tuesday.
During daytime working hours on Tuesday, crews will paint new lane lines on Dublin Boulevard near Issaquah Drive. This will move all traffic to the north side of the road temporarily. After that work is complete, Issaquah Drive south of Dublin Boulevard will close through late January for full reconstruction.
Earlier, crews removed the center median on Dublin Boulevard west of Marksheffel Road. This created temporary left-turn lanes into nearby businesses. While Issaquah Drive is closed, drivers can still reach businesses using a temporary entrance just 300 feet away. Businesses south of the closure will still be open.
Mustang Rim Drive will be open at Dublin Boulevard. Drivers can use it to reach homes or businesses if they miss the main entrance. Signs will show a detour using Issaquah Drive and Peterson Road.
About the Dublin Boulevard Improvements project
Dublin Boulevard from Fieler Drive to Marksheffel Road will be improved from a two-lane road to two lanes in each direction with shoulders. A raised median will be constructed to match other sections of Dublin Boulevard. Additional improvements include a ten-foot multi-use path along both sides of the street, trail connections along Sand Creek, and a new traffic signal at Issaquah Drive. Drainage upgrades include storm sewer pipes, inlets, and water quality structures.
The work schedule is weather-dependent and subject to change. For the most up to date information on travel impacts and traffic pattern changes, text DUBLIN to 866-762-3640 to receive text alerts, call the project hotline (719-472-3065) or visit the project webpage at ColoradoSprings.gov/Dublin.
