Traffic on Tejon Street, north of Pikes Peak Avenue, will experience a traffic lane shift from May 19-23 as part of the Tejon Street Revitalization Project.

Motorists and pedestrians can expect the southbound lane of Tejon to shift into the center turn lane for about 200 feet to permit crews to move a fire hydrant. The work involves heavy equipment and excavation of the street. No water service outage is expected for nearby businesses. Once that work is complete, traffic will return to the current configuration.

The Tejon Street Revitalization Project, between Colorado and Pikes Peak Avenue, expands outdoor dining areas and sidewalks with the goal of increasing public safety, pedestrian accessibility and business activity. Detour map for the work on Tejon St. Southbound Tejon is closed between Kiowa and Pikes Peak avenue, and traffic detours to share the northbound lane.
