Tejon Street in Downtown Colorado Springs will close one block to all vehicles from Pikes Peak Avenue to East Kiowa Street through December starting on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
The closure is required as the Tejon Street Revitalization Project moves into its second and final block of construction with sidewalk, patio and street improvements beginning. Pedestrian routes remain open to provide access to businesses. Street parking will not be available until further notice. Businesses on this block will receive vouchers for two hours free parking at the three City garages nearby.
The Tejon Street Revitalization Project, between Colorado and East Kiowa Street, expands outdoor dining areas and sidewalks with the goal of increasing public safety, pedestrian accessibility and business activity.
