The City of Colorado Springs continued its success in financially assisting more Affordable housing developments in 2023, along with providing a road map for additional funding opportunities and creating a new department focused on housing issues.

The Colorado Springs Health Foundation (CSHF) seeks a volunteer to serve on its Board of Trustees starting early 2024. The foundation makes grants to local nonprofits and tax-supported organizations addressing the most critical health issues in the Pikes Peak region. Applications are due no later than noon on Friday, January 12, 2024. 

The City of Colorado Springs saw several economic achievements in 2023, including record breaking investments that indicate a bright future for continued vitality and opportunity across the city.

The Pikes Peak Regional Office of Emergency Management (PPROEM) has officially launched its new website, a comprehensive online resource to enhance community preparedness in the Pikes Peak region. The website, accessible at pproem.com, offers residents information, resources, and guidance to effectively prepare for emergencies.

The City Council is seeking to fill three voting members on the City/County Subdivision Storm Drainage Board:

• One Citizen At Large
• One member actively engaged in the construction and sale of housing
• One registered practicing engineer qualified in drainage matters incident to the subdivision and development of lands

Application are due by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9.
