City of Colorado Springs leaders released statements in remembrance of the one-year mark of the shooting at Club Q where five lives were lost. We remember Daniel Aston (he/him), Kelly Loving (she/her), Derrick Rump (he/him), Ashley Paugh (she/her) and Raymond Green Vance (he/him). Messages included are from Mayor Yemi Mobolade, Councilmember Nancy Henjum, CSPD Chief Adrian Vasquez and CSFD Chief Randy Royal.

Mayor Yemi announces Jessie Kimber as City’s Economic Development Officer

Mayor Yemi Mobolade announced this week that Jessie Kimber will be the Economic Development Officer for the City of Colorado Springs. She begins on Jan. 2. Jessie is currently the vice president of defense development at the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC and previously served the City as special assistant to former Mayor John Suthers. A graduate of the College of Naval Warfare, U.S. Marine Corps University and the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, Kimber served in the U.S. Navy for 24 years.

City shares results of official review of April 2023 municipal election complaint

The City Attorney’s Office completed a review on Tuesday, Nov. 14 of a complaint it received on Sept. 29, 2023 with various allegations related to the general municipal election on April 4, 2023. The investigation did not establish reasonable grounds for a violation of the City Code or the Colorado Municipal Election Code or to initiate enforcement action in Municipal Court.
